Steve Mallon – MD Cunning Running, geospatial solutions to search, protect and assess.

I’ve known of Cunning Running Software Ltd before the BattleLab was built at the Dorset Innovation Park and they were one of the first people I showed around when the workshop hangar was up. They were then onboarded into the D3IP ecosystem as partners, ready to gain sight of MOD client challenges as they come through the Defence BattleLab, as well as calls from Law […]

Jyoti Hirani-Driver, COO of NATO DIANA. Seeking dual-use innovators.

Given some of the supporting work my business does for the Defence BattleLab on the Dorset Innovation Park, I had been looking to make a connection with NATO DIANA. DIANA stands for Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic, and is an organisation established by NATO to reach out and find dual-use innovations […]

Resilience Conference 2024

26 – 27 September 2024, London. We’re all Mission Partners in the resilience of our country. Plexal is a company that manages many innovation centres and co-working spaces around the UK, such as in London, Manchester and Cheltenham. In rewatching the video to summarise, I know he gave so much information and […]

Comparing Cambridge and punting around

A quick observation from my visit to Cambridge I’ve been to Cambridge twice previously. Once for a mini-break meeting friends and another time for a wedding that happened to be in one of the college halls. This visit, during Cambridge Tech Week, was the first time for anything work related. I had already been trying to contact the Bradfield Centre and St John’s Innovation Centre […]

London, Cambridge and Bletchley Park EV costs

This is the route I took and the costs involved. Left home with close to full tank, which I will call 74 kWh useable at 8.5p/kWh, so £6.30. I charged at Birchanger Green Services on the M11, using Applegreen chargers. 30.76 kWh taken on. Credit card was charged £23.69. Zapmap showing 77p/kWh which adds up. I had to do a top up charge on the […]
